To The Mothers; Happy Mother's Day

To The Mothers:
who never concieved
Whose Motherhood were deprived
Whose Marriage were maligned
Whose Dreams, Aspirations, Careers were shattered so to save their Kids'
Who go against the norms & mores only ensure they mother well enough for their Kids'
Cry, sweat as they watch their craddles
Saddled their arms only to ensure their children never cease to paddle
And Yeapsolutely😭✌🏿✌🏿 to mothers who said they weren't going to die even when it was crystal clear they barely could breath just to ensure we continue to suspire & be inspired
That were bashed so we won't be abashed
That were shamed so we could be ever be some charm
Who dimmed their lights, so we could be lit
That conserve, so we could own some reserves

& So Truly, To Every Father playing these roles, & Sisters responsible as a Mom, since Momma died, You all are Angels! πŸ’‹πŸ’‹

Poetry: When a strainer takes in water πŸ’§!!!

Disclaimer: This is a poem I love as I was growing up as a child as it projects the African culture. And it's not written by me......but it's worth the share!
Do enjoy!

When a strainer πŸ€ takes in water πŸ’§
All the water πŸ’§ immediately goes out of it
When a wicker fish 🐠 trap takes in water πŸ’§
All the water πŸ’§ immediately goes out of it
The drake cannot, even in a fit of anger πŸ˜‡ crow.
Γ’wΓ wΓ  cannot, even in a fit of anger, howl from dusk to dawn
On the day brown monkey 🐡 meets the Alapinni, the monkey 🐡 forgets all its anger
Oriji leaf commands you to forgive me, no matter what I may have done amiss
A blacksmith never knows what to forge with iron-dross
Let all those who are annoyed 😴😈😴😈with me,
Let all those who have risen πŸ”—πŸ”ͺπŸ”«πŸ’£against me,
Let them have no power over me.
Let their anger subside.
